Data Upload Errors - Solutions

Sometimes, our data files aren't always perfectly formatted for uploading into the platform. When that happens, the platform gives us an error. Here is a list of solutions for the most common errors that occur when uploading data files.

2038 error

"An error occurred, please take note of the following error and contact support: Error caused a send or load operation to fail (Error #2038)"

Update to the latest version of Adobe Flash.

u_file_access_error

"U_FILE_ACCESS_ERROR When the error has been fixed, try uploading again."

Try using OpenOffice to open the data file and save the file with "Edit Filter Settings" and turn on "Quote All Text Cells".

duplicated headers: nil

"The uploaded file contains duplicated headers: nil. When the error has been fixed, try uploading again."

Try using OpenOffice to open your data and look for data in columns beyond headers.

If none of these solutions work, please send the job ID and source file you are trying to upload to help@crowdflower.com. We are more than happy to help!
